Badrinath Yatra
BADRINATH
Cradled in the twin mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan is the holiest of the four main shrines, Badrinath along the left bank of river Alaknanda. With the splendid Neelkanth Mountains as the backdrop, it is an important destination for every devout Hindu. The temple of Shri Badrinath on the banks of the Alaknanda river dates back to the Vedic times. Situated at an altitude of 3133 mts., the present temple is believed to have been built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya. Also known as 'Vishal Badri', Badrinath is one of the Panch Badris'
Travel Destinations:
Delhi - Haridwar - Joshimath - Badrinath - Rudraprayag - Rishikesh - Delhi
Travel Duration:05 nights / 06 days
Day 01: Delhi-Haridwar (205 kms/6 hrs)
Drive to the City of Ganges-Haridwar. In the evening go to Har ki Pauri to attend the evening Aarti at River Ganges.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Haridwar-Joshimath (276 kms/8 hrs)
Joshimath: Adi Guru Shankaracharya, who came all the way from Kerels in the 8th Century A.D, perform penance under a tree here and after getting enlightenment, established a Math (religious centre), known as "Joshimath". The name Joshimath is derived from it. Temple of Narsingh and Nav Durga are located here.
After breakfast, drive to Joshimath enroute visiting Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Karnprayag. Continue your drive to Joshimath.
Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, visit Narsingh Temple & Shankaracharya Math. Later drive to Badrinath. In the evening visit Badrinath Temple for the evening Aarti.

Day 04: Badrinath-Rudraprayag (165 kms/6 hrs)
Early morning, after having a bath in the Taptkund has the Darshan of Badri Vishal. Later drive to Rudrprayag enroute visiting the Mana Village: Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.
Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast drive back to Rishikesh enroute visiting Dhari Devi Temple. Later stop for lunch at Srinagar. Later reach Rishikesh. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Rishikesh-Delhi (234 kms)Attend the morning Aarti, visit Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, and drive back to Delhi to catch your flight/train towards onward destination.
